Healthy chicken teriyaki kebobs


I made these for dinner the other night adapted from a recipe I found on Pinterest.

3 x medium boneless chicken breasts
2 tbl honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground ginger powder
1 tbl cornstarch
1/4 cup brown sugar
Sesame seeds

Chop the chicken breasts into around 1 inch size peices. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and ginger and honey into a pan and heat for around 2minutes. Let this cool and add a little cornflour mixed with water to thicken the sauce.

Add the cooled sauce to the chicken and let marinate for at least 30mins but you could leave it overnight. Just make sure to cover over your chicken. Stir or mix a few times if left for a while to marinate.

Once marinated add the chicken onto skewers and grill untill cooked. Once cooked add a few sesame seeds for crunch.

I served them with salad. They were sweet and had lots of flavour. Try them! A healthier alternative to shop bought sauces which can be laden with alot more sugar.
